"I'll Never Love Again" is a song performed by Lady Gaga from the soundtrack to the 2018 musical A Star Is Built-in. The track was written past Lady Gaga, Natalie Hemby, Hillary Lindsey and Aaron Raitiere, and produced by Gaga and Benjamin Rice.
The film'southward soundtrack has two versions of the song: a flick version performed by Gaga featuring Bradley Cooper, and an extended version performed only past Gaga.

In the vocal, Ally (Lady Gaga) sings about her late married man Jackson (Bradley Cooper) who recently committed suicide in their garage while Marry performed her terminal concert on the tour.
It is later revealed that this song (which was written by Jack) was intended to be a duet with Ally. However, due to the embarrassment of Marry at the Grammy's earlier in the motion picture, the song had no risk of boosting Ally's popularity.

When Gaga was getting set up to motion-picture show the final scene of A Star Is Born, where she sings "I'll Never Love Again", she got a phone call that her childhood friend Sonja Durham was in her last moments of Stage IV cancer. Gaga left the set and drove to meet Durham, simply she was late past ten minutes after her friend passed away. Durham'southward husband consoled her and asked to return for filming.
My very, very, very beloved friend Sonja died of cancer that solar day. We were supposed to shoot in, like, 30 minutes, and I left the set because her husband called me and I could hear her in the background and I merely got in the car and drove. I missed her by xv minutes and she died. I literally laid with her, with her husband, and their dog, and his son…. When I came back, Bradley was and so gentle with me and we got through it. I performed the song. He was like, 'You don't have to do information technology again. It'due south okay.' All I wanted to do was sing. I'll never forget that day. It was really a special scene, and I'll ever remember that moment.
