I firstly discovered Danny through his youtube aqueduct. His enthusiasm and energy instantly caught my attention. So I was amazed by his personal story and hard dedication. As we launched the KrakBox we quickly decided to send one to him in guild to benefit from his feedback. Danny has always been responsive, kind, and was hungry to assist. Beneath is a funny unboxing video he made with the get-go KrakBox we sent.

I'm super happy he took the time to talk with me on the phone (at 2am haha!) and told united states of america a footling scrap more than near his life. And fabricated us laugh apparently. k.

K: Hey Dan, thanks for doing this. I've noticed you're in LA for a couple of months. Where are you based?
I just couch-surf. I leave my clothes at ane of my friend's place; exit everything in that location; so I usually stay there or like I stay with girls. I apply Tinder to see a bunch of girls and stay at girls' houses; I stay at Chris' firm every once in a while too.

Sounds cool. Tinder as a complimentary Airbnb. That's a smart tactic.
Yep exactly. I wanna try to do a documentary style video about it. Could be pretty cool.

Definitely. Tin you tell our readers more nigh yourself?
I'chiliad Danny Duncan. I like to skate, have fun, make jokes and laugh. I guess that's pretty most it. In brusque: I like to fuck effectually and laugh a lot haha!

Where did you grow upwards?
I grew up in Englewood, FL.

How was it?
Fun. It was amazing. I have more than like a redneck family and so I got to do a lot of cool shit that most kids don't become to exercise. I was always exterior fucking around, climbing in trees, grabbing the neighbors titties and playing sports. I got to ride iv wheelers, dirt bikes, go karts, get fishing, camping, shoot guns, paintballing, and I had the freedom to do whatever I wanted because my mom trusted me so much it was crawly. I was involved in athletics my whole life, endeavor to be a good athlete.

Based on where you come from, how actually did you get into skateboarding?
Ane of my friend started skating and gave me i of his board. He gave me a complimentary complete when I was like 13. And he was similar my best friend at this fourth dimension and so I started skating with him a niggling fleck. And then a kid my age that I knew, I saw him skating and he was like really fucking good. Then he inspired me I was like "oh shit man you lot're really practiced" and then then I wanted to go better so that's what got me started. And then I was hyped by the liberty of information technology. Like I said I was a big athlete and then all my life I was similar training in sports, like "practice practice do" all the time since I was young and the instructors were like "let's practise it again" which didn't bother me but when I started skating I was similar "shit no one is yelling and I can do whatever I want" so information technology was kinda absurd y'all know.

I guess you didn't benefit from a huge back up from your parents. How did they react?
My dad didn't like it at all because for him it was unsafe you know. I was primarily an athlete so he wanted me to focus on that and not getting injure. But then he e'er wanted me to exist happy and so somewhen he was kind of "yeah it'southward ok" you know, supporting me at the end.

Were y'all a agglomeration of kids skating in town at that fourth dimension or was it only you and your friends?
Yeah there was a group you know. Like ten or 20 kids skating. And and so we got a skatepark built in my hometown like a year subsequently I started skating. And then that helped. Once the park has opened we like gathered there everyday. It'south a nice park I still go at that place when I'm in my hometown, notwithstanding feels good.

Do you have any favorite spots in your hometown or was information technology mainly effectually the park?
Yep the park was great. There is a manual pad I used to skate a lot: Winn Dixie. It's fun as hell to skate and you never go busted. There is ane of this grocery store only downward the street nearby. I still skate that. Information technology's pretty fun. I call back when I transmission it the first time I was really hyped.

At present that you lot travel much more, do you have any favorite spots outside of your hometown?
Not really I guess. I like manual pads a lot. Actually I like going to different places and trying some new shit considering at that place is ever something you lot know.

Is there whatsoever place in the globe y'all haven't been to still that y'all want to skate or to visit?
Yep. I retrieve probably New Zealand. I heard it's similar 1 of the oldest places and most natural so that sounds really neat to see. I heard it'due south like actually natural. So I'd like to check that out. And actually Canada. I don't know why simply I'd say Canada. I guess they accept a lot of hot girls. Really I've talked to a ton of hot girls that live in Canada and I really desire to run into some of them.

These are skillful choices. I haven't been at that place neither but would beloved to check them out. Mandatory questions fourth dimension: favorite tricks? videos? parts? skateboarders?
My favorite fox is the treflip for sure. I like treflip a lot. Oh and half cab is actually fun also.

Video part: I used to watch a lot of Justin Eldridge. In the eSpecial by and large. I used to watch it everyday. That was similar my favorite video of all time. Watched it all the time. And now I like watching Jason Lee dorsum in the day like his old stuff is pretty fun to picket.

My favorite skateboarders? I'd say Pat Schaefer, Zion Wright & Jason Lee. Zion isn't pro, actually he's in Florida. I like them a lot. They're kind of AMs now; everybody volition know them i day.

Tell us more well-nigh your Youtube channel. How would you describe it?
I similar to post videos that brand people laugh. I love making these videos and laughing my ass off. Some of my ain vids kill me and I dear that shit haha. I've always loved making people express mirth and so it feels skilful to be able to make people happy and to know I have so many fans supporting me. I've done pranks, comedy sketches, eating challenges, motorboated some titties, kissed a GILF, and tons of other random shit.

How did you get into information technology? When was it? I mean: how 1 twenty-four hour period you lot were similar "hey allow'due south make some youtube videos and make people laugh"? Information technology'south not the usual idea for sure.
I used to stretch skateboarders and I was working with a lot of pros and stuff and so I got referred to Jason Lee so worked with him and was like his personal trainer to try to aid him with the muscles. He idea I was funny and he was like "dude you lot should become into acting, you're funny". I just said "why" and he said "considering you lot're actually funny and I know you would practice well, I can assistance yous too. It'southward easy dude" and I said "ok". I kept it casual haha (even though deep downwards I was like wtf this is crazy haha) and I merely remember leaving his firm that day similar "fuck ya I know I can practice this shit". Information technology was cool because everything made sense to me at that point. Coming together Jason was meant to be and that was the spark I needed, a badass thespian like him to tell me I'm funny and that I could do well in acting. It was an amazing feeling. I e'er wanted to practice acting or stand up-upward but I'yard from a pocket-sized ass town. Never thought I'd terminate upwards in LA. Life's crazy. Thanks Jason! Still can't believe where I'chiliad at right at present it'south insane. So happy with everything.

So information technology all started similar this?
Ya just started filming random ideas haha. I think I filmed my first video and sent information technology to Jason. It'southward this funny video of me boxing and it'southward motivational and and then the music cuts out and information technology pans out and I'g naked hit the speed bag information technology's funny every bit shit. I texted that to Jason and he replied "THIS IS AMAZING" in all caps. I was so hyped haha. He's like my trigger whether or not something is actually funny or non. The dude is a comedic genius.

I simply want to add together more than on Jason while I'm on the topic it's kind of cool.

And then I remember when I was younger I always wanted to exist rich as fuck and have all this fancy shit, like cars, shoes, jewelry etc simply dumb shit no one needs. When I met Jason I realized none of that shit mattered. He's a very successful guy plainly who could go whatsoever he wants. He has motorcycles and a bunch of cool shit just we used to drive around LA in a van it was then fuckin funny and awesome. Like this motion-picture show star driving around in a van. Information technology was ballsy. I loved that shit haha. Merely he just made me realize a lot of things. I pretty much completely figured out my life when I met him. I decided I was gonna pursue acting and all of this full time and it really helped because he was bankroll me and giving me advice. I realized none of that fancy shit matters and to just be yourself. And he never went out of his way to say these things. This is just random things I noticed and came to realize throughout meeting him. Great guy and one of the funniest people I've e'er met.

He definitely sounds like a great guy! How do you lot become the inspiration for a new video? Yous merely got an thought, you find it funny and y'all're like "ok let's picture it"?
Yes exactly. I'm just like "oh shit that would exist fucking funny" and I'yard gonna effort that you know. Or anything like that. That'southward usually how it is. Similar I come with something or a friend comes up with something and we're like "yeah yeah that could be funny let'southward do it" and we end up posting it.

Chris does some youtube besides and he's one of my all-time friend and then nosotros end up making a lot of videos together also.

How many subscribers do yous accept right now?
Hmmm I'chiliad not sure let me check. 53,500.

Do y'all know what kind of person they are?
I guess I've a lot of young fans. I'd say similar probably 16 years sometime kid, probably effectually fifteen or something. A lot of younger kids and girls. Yes mainly kids follow me.

What'due south a typical day similar for you?
Y'all want a realistic story?

Haha yep man I want it existent.
Like in depth you lot mean or what?

Yep allow'due south do the in depth 1.
All right. I wake upwards, probably like 10 O'clock because I go to sleep late. First thing I do is like I play on my phone, send some texts, phone calls.

Then I go to the bathroom. I take a shower and I usually jerk off in the shower. And then I get ready. And then I eat a bowl of cereals, like some Lucky Charms. Then I usually go out. And endeavour some bunch of shit.

And then I get to college campus like UCLA or USC where I get to a couple of friends, like 2-three friends and we just fuck around until we get a funny idea to fuck with people. Sometimes nosotros practise an interview, or a prank, or a social experiment.

And so one time we're done filming, some days, we'll go skating to a skatepark similar Sheldon or Lake Street and skate and and then get a dinner or something.

Then once the work'due south done you come home, I commonly have a shower again and then get hang out with a girl and do whatever you need to do, like watching a flick and then stay at the daughter's place and wake upward again and dorsum to my daily routine.

You lot realize how that twenty-four hours will get a ritual for people right?
Haha! Yeah yep. That'd exist funny. I'm gonna picture show a day in my life and it's gonna exist with more shit.

What else in the works? Do you focus on your aqueduct or exercise you lot have further plans for the futurity? Tell us your secrets?
I plan to get a lot bigger on YouTube, I'thou too gonna outset working to get into some movies in the next few years, and I'm planning to practice stand-up comedy in 2016. I am really looking forrard to it! That's sort of the big program.

Is that the main reason you came in LA? To requite you a better chance at acting?
It's kind of like a mixture. I came in LA because of Chris Chann also. It'southward fun to be hither. Simply it's too like when you're hither you just make a bunch of progress. Because everybody hither y'all know want to succeed, expand, make more coin, get more followers, have more than fun, post more videos. Like everybody here is doing the same shit. And so you're able to work with the people you wanna work with. And you go shit done.I also wanna get into the movie. In this case it'southward amend to be hither you know what I mean.

How exercise you like the city actually? Do you like it more for business organization motivation?
Yeah it's like a beloved / detest human relationship yous know. I as well hate beingness in LA yous know, I wanna be in Florida. Simply I beloved being here for the progress, the opportunity, the people hither. At that place is sure people here that I wanna be with and who help you lot improve and get better. But in that location are also a lot of simulated people here, probably similar everywhere else.

Practice yous similar coming dorsum and forth between LA and Florida? Like you could find your own residual between both these lifestyles?
I volition be full time in LA at 1 betoken. I have to be. Yep I definitely want to be full time in LA eventually. In the next year I'll be there. I'm gonna start making some stand upwardly comedy as well and I call back I tin exercise very well at that so that could definitely help me to be there, being an entertainer you know. And so I could go some acting, youtube, stand up up one-act and shit like that. It's gonna all come together and it'southward gonna work out pretty well.

What was the funniest thing y'all had to practise in a video? the craziest? scariest?
The craziest I remember was climbing the Hollywood sign. Yes I climbed at the very top and so the LAPD came that was pretty sick.

Were they angry at yous? Or they were cool?
Aye they like yell at you only that was pretty fun. You accept to lookout the video.

Then I did some other video, pretty funny, similar a crazy video, fucked up. I had to kiss that very former baby and it'due south fucking nasty.

That was for the craziest and the funniest. What nigh the scariest?
Yeah. Shit that might also be the scariest. Permit me see. Yeah I would say scariest and funniest were kissing the gilf haha.

I thing you haven't done all the same merely are dreaming of?
1 thing I oasis't done yet but dream of would be – to buy my mom a house and pay it off in full. We lost our business firm when I was like 15 and it was the business firm I grew up in and the one she had congenital, so one day I volition buy it for certain. I just hope I'll buy it before she passes away. That's a large reason why I'm grinding so difficult right now because I know she won't exist here for e'er.

I besides want to add to that. Ane of the biggest fears I have is becoming extremely successful simply after my mom has passed abroad. Information technology'south always been a huge worry of mine. Because I know 100% I'll be rich and I've e'er known that. I'thou non gonna terminate until I achieve everything I've wanted to achieve. I don't need a lot of money, I don't accident it on anything except food, I don't purchase fancy wearing apparel, shoes and shit but I want to give a lot back to my mom & family unit for helping me so much particularly for their support with me chasing my dreams.

Would you have any advice for people who would want to give it a endeavour on Youtube?
I think it's of import to be original and to know what you want your channel to be about. For me I merely desire random videos that brand people laugh. So I try to e'er mix it up because I want to exist able to e'er have fun filming and never become burned out. So for me that's of import, for others it may be something else merely it'due south good to accept a goal in mind and then focus on beingness consistent, posting good content, don't e'er steal content, don't lie to fans, don't be a endeavor hard, exist yourself and if you do pranks don't fuckin mail false prank videos. No 1 likes them. And y'all're a pussy if you postal service them haha.

Whatever bulletin or words you want to laissez passer on to our readers?
My mom raised me to never lie to her about anything at all. And then me and my mom take this amazing relationship. We never argue or anything it's peachy. She taught me a lot and non lying or stealing were very basic things but and so of import. I know and then many people that just make up bullshit and lie virtually the most random stuff. Like you don't need to fuckin lie hahaha. So equally far as my advice I say basically, don't prevarication, don't steal, be a skillful person, do the right thing & smiling. Just live life and take fun. Don't worry almost shit that doesn't matter and don't worry what people think virtually you. Nosotros are all gonna die and so just alive your life and take fun. I'm not gonna sit here with the time I accept on earth and be a pussy and worry nearly people who judge me considering of the shoes I wear. None of it fuckin matters. Spend fourth dimension with the people y'all love and who you care about and exercise what makes you happy. And chase your dreams. Don't surrender.
